About

Hi, I’m Traci. Welcome to my little blog!

About 4 years ago I started following and reading a various number of healthy eating blogs and decided to create my own. I wanted to create my own space where I could share my passion for healthy eating, fitness, my faith and a little fashion. I’ve struggled with disordered eating for most of my life but have come to appreciate my health and view of fitness in a whole new light and want others to experience the same. I’m not a trained dietician or an expert on any of these things but everyday I’m learning what works for me and would hope to inspire others through the things I’ve learned along the way.

Throughout the years I’ve been on just about every crash diet that has been out there and just like so many of you I have felt the disappointment when those diets did not deliver as promised or to see it all end up in a complete bingeing session after it was over. I decided that was no way to live this glorious life that God has given me to live and enjoy!

I said goodbye to the bingeing, restricting, weighing and yes just recently the obsessive art of calorie counting! Who came up with that torture anyway? πŸ˜‰ I enjoy a mostly vegetarian diet and I still have a crazy love for sweets but I am always conducting experiments in my kitchen to make them at a healthier level.

I’ve been an avid runner for about 4 -5 years and back in December 2012 I decided I needed to incorporate some strength training into my workouts and have found a new passion for strength training! I had always shied away from gaining muscle in the past because I had images of looking like the Incredible Hulk but I now know a secret and that secret is that muscle does indeed burn fat!

For the longest time I tried to be like everybody else in how they ate, dressed, blogged or even what they did for exercise but you know what I learned? I’m not like anyone else I’m ME! My journey through life is just like yours it’s all been through trial and error but I have learned if you are never open to making a mistake then you are never going to learn, grow and be challenged to be a better you.

I’ve come into a new chapter in my life and I’m excited to see it all unfolding before me and I’m eager to share it through blogging!

I’m true southern girl at heart. I still like my tea sweet (only now I use Stevia) and still love my moms chocolate pie and believe all things in moderation and of course getting your sweat on!

I love to blog and hope that if you stop by you will be encouraged, smile a little, experience a new recipe with me and allow me to share my adventures along the way!

Thanks for stopping by!
